In accordance with Education Code 46600.2, Pleasant View Elementary School District accepts and processes interdistrict transfer requests in accordance with applicable law and District policy. Starting an Interdistrict Transfer Request Outgoing Students Families who reside within Pleasant View Elementary School District and wish to have their student attend a school outside of the District may begin the interdistrict transfer process by contacting the District Office. Interdistrict Transfer Request Process Interdistrict transfer requests generally follow this process:
The parent or guardian contacts the school district of residence and completes that district’s interdistrict transfer request form.
If approved by the district of residence, the request is forwarded to Pleasant View Elementary School District for review.
Interdistrict transfer requests must be approved by the Pleasant View Elementary School District Governing Board.
Approved interdistrict agreements are granted for one school year and must be renewed annually.
Governing Board Approval Interdistrict transfer requests are reviewed for approval at regular Governing Board meetings, which are typically held on the second Tuesday of each month. Families will be notified in writing of the Board’s decision. Appeal Rights If an interdistrict transfer request is denied, the parent or guardian has the right to appeal the decision to the County Board of Education. School District of Choice Program Pleasant View Elementary School District participates in the School District of Choice program in accordance with state law. In compliance with Education Code 48313, the District maintains required records and reports information to the Governing Board and appropriate agencies, as applicable. District compliance is reviewed as part of the annual audit. The District encourages early resolution of concerns whenever possible. What Can Be Filed Under the UCP The UCP may be used to file complaints related to issues such as:

Noncompliance with state or federal education programs
Pupil fees

Bullying and Harassment Prevention Pleasant View Elementary School District prohibits bullying, discrimination, harassment, intimidation, and hate-motivated behavior in all district programs and activities. Any student, parent or guardian, or community member may report bullying or harassment to a teacher, school administrator, or other school employee. Complaints are investigated and resolved in accordance with the District’s Uniform Complaint Procedures or, when applicable, Title IX grievance procedures.
